SYRACUSE -- Fuccillo Automotive Group donated $200,000 to the Salvation Army as part of the red kettle campaign.

Fuccillo pledged to match red kettle donations in Upstate New York up to $200,000.  As part of the deal, the Salvation Army headquarters in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany will each receive a $50,000 donation from Fuccillo.

Fuccillo has red kettles located at each of its 23 dealerships to collect money.

In addition to the donation, the red kettle campaign raised $1,200,000 in Upstate New York as of December 20.

“With the community’s help we have been able to make this red kettle campaign a ‘HUGE’ success for the Salvation Army,” said Billy Fuccillo, president of Fuccillo Automotive Group. “It has been a privilege to partner with the Salvation Army to raise awareness and support for all the important programs it offers to the community, and we’re so glad people around the state joined the cause.”

Fuccillo upgrades in Adams new completion

May 10, 2013 Watertown Daily Times - Gordon Block, original article here

ADAMS — Work is coming to a close for projects at two dealerships at the Fuccillo Auto Mall space on Route 11.

Sales staff members for the Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep dealership plan to move into a new 16,200-square-foot building by the end of the week. The project has been under construction since late October.

“It’s fantastic ... we’re really excited about it,” said Gerald B. Morgan, the dealership’s general manager.

Mr. Morgan said the plan was for the dealership’s sales staff to move in by the weekend. The project’s final stage, he said, involves exterior landscaping and some paving.

The sales team’s move comes in advance of the planned move for the dealership’s parts and services department, which Mr. Morgan said would take place in June. After that relocation, the dealership’s existing building will be demolished and converted into parking.

Mr. Morgan said the new space wouldn’t lead to changes in its services, but instead an increase in activity.

The dealership plans to increase its truck inventory by 25 percent and other vehicles by 10 percent. Mr. Morgan said the additions in the service department, including express lanes for oil changes, would increase business by about 25 percent.

He estimated the project will cost about $1.5 million to $2 million, and contractor Donald E. Clark, owner of DC Building Systems, Watertown, said it has stayed on budget.

Mr. Clark said constructing the building, the company’s fifth dealership project, had been “smoother than smooth.”

Work also is concluding for a makeover project at Fuccillo’s Chevrolet and Buick dealership as a part of the national car company’s marketing program,

David J. Currier, the dealership’s general manager, said the space has a new customer lounge, bathrooms and paint.

“We’ve brightened it up quite a bit,” he said.

He said the dealership’s showroom space will be finished this week.

The renovation ends as the Fuccillo Automotive Group puts together its Huge-A-Thon 2013 promotion, which features giveaways of $250,000 in prizes.

Names will be drawn May 31 from each of the group’s 20 dealerships throughout the state. Winners then will be invited to join Billy Fuccillo, the automotive group’s owner, at Turning Stone Resort and Casino, Verona, for the grand prize drawing.

Syracuse food pantry gets a 'Huge' hand this weekend

 April 25, 2013 Syracuse.com

Billy Fuccillo will match every dollar raised Saturday at a spaghetti supper to support the Assumption Church Food Pantry.

The food pantry in the North Salina Street church almost closed in December because it was having trouble raising enough money. Upon hearing the news, the Syracuse community and Fuccillo raised money to keep the pantry open. It serves 400 families a month.

“We are overjoyed with Mr. Fuccillo’s generosity, once again and for his gracious support of our ministry to the Northside,” said Nicholas Spano, Director of Assumption’s Food Pantry. “There is no way to adequately thank Mr. Fuccillo for his donations, but we hope he will accept our humble thanks and prayers for his goodness towards us.”

The supper is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in the church parish center at 812 N. Salina St. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children and will be available at the door. There will be a traditional Italian dinner, desserts, entertainment by Greg Hoover and Friends and a raffle.

Huge announcement for the WINK Hunger Walk

FORT MYERS, Fla - Billy Fuccillo of Fuccillo Kia in Cape Coral made a huge announcement in the WINK News studios on Tuesday.  He is making a huge donation to the WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk.  Billy Fuccillo says he will match any donation made on Friday, up to $50,000.

The donation could play a huge role in helping the hunger walk meet it's $270,000 goal.  The hunger walk raises money for the Harry Chapin Food Bank.  Every dollar raised for the food bank can be turned in to $6 worth of food.  The food bank helps families in need in Southwest Florida, and the need continues to grow.  Many families in Southwest Florida are food insecure, meaning they aren't sure where their next meal might be coming from.

If you want to make a donation on Friday, click here: http://www.harrychapinfoodbank.org/index.php/hungerwalk

Or join us on Saturday, January 19th at the Miromar Outlets for the WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk.  The walk begins at 9:30 a.m and registration is at 8:30 a.m.

If we reach this year's goal of $270,000, the food bank will be able to distribute $1,620,000 in food to our area's hungry through the Harry Chapin Food Bank's 150 participating agencies across Southwest Florida.

Your generosity brings in $150,000 to keep Assumption Food Pantry open.

by Alice Maggiore Posted: 12.24.2012 at 1:34 PM on www.cnycentral.com

SYRACUSE -- Thanks to your generosity, a struggling food pantry at risk of closing will remain open.

Central New York and the Fuccillo family have raised $150,000 for the Assumption Food Pantry on the north side of Syracuse.

Just a few weeks ago, the food pantry was in danger of closing its doors to hundreds in need. Now, it will be able to stay open indefinitely.

We first told you about the need for donations earlier this month.

One of the oldest food pantries in our area, Assumption has been feeding the hungry since the 1860's.

As recently as three years ago, 135 families were registered to receive food each month.

Right now, the Pantry is feeding about 900 families per month, putting a strain on its budget and supplies.

Local car dealers Billy Fuccillo Senior and Junior saw our story air early in December, and partnered with CNY Central to help get the word out to raise money to keep shelves stocked.

The Fuccillos pledged to match every donation through the holidays, up to $50,000.

Your donations brought in $100,000 to the food pantry. Fuccillo's donation brings the total to $150,000.

"We can help things like this... Some of the other things are out of our hands, but it's so important to bring forth things that we can take immediate action to," says Billy Fuccillo, Sr.

He says there are often so many negative things on the news, such as guns and drugs, that it takes away from positive things, and a chance to make a difference.

"I think it's really important that you get the whole community involved, and I think other people feel really good about what they did," Fuccillo says. "I heard a lot of people got involved, and there's a lot of people that felt like they were part of the community, that's what we need."

Checks continue to pour into the food pantry.

Donations have arrived from as far away as California, Vermont, Texas, and Virginia; but volunteers say most checks came from the Syracuse area.

Brother Nicholas Spano, Director of the Assumption Food Pantry, says that's a testament to the generosity of our community. He recognizes some neighbors may have cut corners in their own budgets to make sure the pantry's shelves were stocked.

"We are so grateful that so many people believe in our ministry that they will support us, and most [are] supporting us with what they can. We are obviously thankful for our large benefactors who gave us many thousands, but also all that gave small amounts that probably came out of their own food budgets," says Brother Nicholas Spano, Director of the Assumption Food Pantry.

The Assumption Food Pantry says $150,000 is enough to sustain its budget for next year.

Right now, it's looking into fundraising efforts to provide support further out.

The pantry reminds us hunger is not a short term problem.

Fuccillo Kia of Cape Coral 'huger' than ever

by Tim Engstrom posted at 9:53 PM, Dec 25, 2012 on www.news-press.com

Billy Fuccillo

He may already be HUGE, but Billy Fuccillo will be getting bigger in 2013.

Fuccillo, of course, is the owner of Fuccillo Kia of Cape Coral, and his TV commercials, giveaways and promotions have made him a household name since the dealership opened in December 2010.

His Cape location has become the top Kia dealership in the nation and the top seller in his own network of 23 dealerships, mostly in New York. His biggest promotion this past year, HUGEfest 2012, included a full-on rock concert, plus $300,000 in cash and car giveaways.

"This dealership has been unbelievable," he said. "It's been a great year, and you ain't seen nothing yet."

Fuccillo said the dealership could sell as many as 7,000 new Kia models this year.

"We could sell more if we could get more from the factory, but the supply has been tight," he said.

"I think he is a game-changer," said Mike Quaintance, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral. "His dealership draws people to Cape Coral, and there aren't many businesses that draw people across the river. It is so regional in its reach."

He will do even more next year to draw people across the river. In October, he purchased about 10.2 acres just east of his dealership on Pine Island Road for $2.2 million and expects to build a large auto service facility and additional lot space starting in the first quarter.

This month, he expects to close on 77 acres on U.S. 41 in Charlotte County, just south of the Sarasota County line. He said he decided that a 7.4-acre parcel he purchased off Euclid Street in July wasn't enough space for what he plans. He said he plans to open a Kia dealership on up to 25 acres and develop the rest, possibly building a hotel.

Fuccillo hasn't been saturating local advertising in recent weeks up to the standards set earlier this year, but he said that will change soon.

"We are going to be everywhere in January," he said. "We've got a lot of things planned. I can't say too much because I have to keep it close to the vest."

But Southwest Florida may one day see even more of Fuccillo. His son, Billy Fuccillo Jr., 23, opened Fuccillo Nissan in Liverpool, N.Y., this year, and his father said he would like for his only child to take over the northern dealerships someday.

"I want to play golf, and I like Florida, he said. I want him to be able to run things in New York, and I will just stay here."
